About the project

The school will cater for 650 Year 7-12 students, and make a significant contribution to the area's educational and community life.

We have built the school over two sites.

The Griffiths Street Campus is the home of a striking academic precinct that puts the student learning experience at its core. The adjacent Gleadell St Campus comprises general purpose teaching spaces, four competition-grade netball courts and community facilities.

We opened the school in two stages.

Gleadell Street Campus

The first cohort of Year 7 students started at this campus in term 1, 2018.

Griffiths Street Campus

This campus opened in term 1, 2019 for the second cohort of Year 7 students and students moving into Year 8.

Being located in the heart of Richmond, the school has great transport options and is close to existing community infrastructure and services.

The VSBA has worked closely with other precinct stakeholders including the City of Yarra, Lynall Hall Community School, Richmond Multicultural Children's Centre, Leo Berry's Boxing Gym, Gleadell Street Market Traders and the Richmond Union Bowls Club to ensure that their needs are considered throughout construction.
